What is an Irish Kiss? Growing up in Chicago, "Irish Kiss" was the term used for a head butt in a bar fight. A fitting name for a baton! The Irish Kiss as a weapon has deep roots in the fighting stick history in both clan warfare in Ireland and police billies from the early 1800s to the current day.
My Infusion Process: The Irish Kiss is hand-made from solid exotic hardwood, infused for 3 days with polymer resin, and baked at a low temperature to cure. This process makes the Irish Kiss the most durable, natural wood baton in the world.
Creation of a Work of Art: After the curing and cooling of the Irish Kiss, the weapon in hand turned on a lathe to the exact specifications of the customer. A truly custom fighting weapon. Standard length is 18" but any length up to 36" is possible for an additional cost.
The Handle: The handle is available in three grip styles; twisted cloth wrap, carved grip rings, or a wide selection of Lizard Skins wraps.
The Irish Kiss comes with the O'Connor Woodworking logo laser engraved on it as well as an O'Connor Woodworking medal set in the base of the handle.
Custom laser engraving is available at your request for and additional cost.
